From 1972 to 1991, Scott Management Company was the property management and development division of the Slater Company, Inc. In 1992, the company moved from downtown Boston to its current suburban location. The Company continues to provide commercial property management for closely-held partnerships and individually-owned properties within its local area. Our Property Management functions include responsibility for marketing, leasing, construction management and consulting.

Scott Property Tax Advisors, Inc. provides property tax abatement services to commercial property owners throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Abatement services are provided on a contingency, based on achievement. Our firm has represented Shawmut Bank, Fleet Bank, Cahners Publishing, CFM Properties, WRT Management, the FDIC, New Balance, and many other private and institutional clients. The use of a tax representative is a risk-free, responsible way to ensure that taxpayers are not paying more than their fair share of property taxes.

Scott Corporate Services provides more general real estate consulting including sales, leasing, tenant representation, site selection, feasibility, due diligence, development, planning and problem solving.

Property Lease Consultants, Inc. (PLC) was formed in 1991 as an auditing firm engaged by tenants to provide lease consulting services including review of operating expenses and tax escalation charges which are billed as additional rent pursuant to commercial lease contracts. Reviews focus on compliance with all aspects of the contractual lease terms related to the accuracy of additional rent and real estate tax charges. The Company has been employed by tenants, including banks, law firms, Fortune 500 companies and Federal Agencies to establish correctness, compliance, and fairness on past, present and future billings.

Irving Busny is Chief Operating Officer of The Scott Companies. His experience over the past 35 years includes senior level responsibility in all areas of real estate development, management and consulting. He is a past president of Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) in Boston and past Vice President of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board.
